I believe the best software is written by small groups of people who have both passion and vision. Passion is easy to define; you care so deeply about something that it wounds you if it's done poorly. Vision can mean different things, but I mean the ability to not just come up with new ideas, but to actually be able to see how they would integrate with people's lives. Vision without passion gives you a guy who sitting on couch saying, "Flying cars! Wave of the future! Mark my word, the guy who invents that's going to be rich... pass the chips." Passion without vision gives you America's current political situation, where we allow huge companies to destroy the world but pass laws to make sure nobody marries a turtle. I started programming when I was 12, taking college courses from my Dad in BASIC and Pascal, and generally making myself unpopular with the real students. I taught myself assembly at age 14 by reading Steve Wozniak's Apple II ROM code, which is still the most amazing hand-optimized code I've ever seen. (When we first opened our web store at Omni Mr. Wozniak was kind enough to buy more copies than he could ever use, I assume because he believes in underdogs. He's a good guy.) At 15 I joined my Dad's consulting company and wrote inventory tracking software and programmed cash registers, and at 17 I wrote a program on the Apple IIe for gathering data on precancerous cells for my Mom. Ah, nepotism. I was recruited to the University of Washington by being offered three scholarships, and I majored in honors computer science. While there I got addicted to NeXT computers and founded The Omni Group, which I led for ten years. At Omni I designed and programmed numerous applications whose names begin with "Omni", and I tried to give the company vision and morality. During my reign Omni's products won a record five Apple Design Awards. I live with my one remaining fuzzy cat. In my copious spare time I've tried extreme gardening, salsa dancing, cooking, building a reef aquarium, and watching Better Off Ted. I enjoy playing any video game where I get to stab people in the neck. |

Terry Monster
|
Terry is our customer support gal; she answers all the questions that are sent to us, writes our help files, maintains our FAQ, and files bug reports in the proper boxes. She has a B.S. in technical communication from the University of Washington, and is also a great chef, a decent gardener, and a very bad whirlyball player. She “owns” a hellion that she claims is a cat, who does not answer to the name Puma.

Maja Monster
|
Maja is Wil's executive assistant. She keeps our books, runs payroll, pays our taxes, and in general keeps thing organomazized. She is also the point-of-contact for Golden % Braeburn (our other company). You may never need to deal with her directly, but if you do, now you know that she does, indeed, speak with My Voice. In her spare time Maja enjoys organizing other people's closets, dancing like nobody is watching, and listening to that damn rock music that kids love. Often all at the same time.

Jessie Monster
|
Jessie handles most of our web-based support (on GetSatisfaction.com), helps to file and classify bugs (including tracking crash reports), and does anything that might come under the heading of "various."
